Are you a Plum Village practitioner who wants to get involved with ARISE?
ARISE recruits volunteers for some of its committee tasks or activities, or for specific projects or events.
Volunteers dedicate a few hours a month to ARISE work on committee tasks or activities, or on a project coordinated by ARISE Core Members. Volunteers may participate in discussions, contribute their skills and/or knowledge to guide the direction of a committee, project tasks or activities. Volunteers do not participate in Core Member meetings.
VOLUNTEER CRITERIA:
Current practitioners within the Plum Village Mahasangha. This includes practitioners who participate regularly in local or online Sanghas and who actively engage in our tradition (Examples: attending retreats in the PV tradition, regularly reciting the 5 Mindfulness Trainings)
Have an active interest in and advocate for racial justice and social equity.
Dependent on the task/project- Have received training in racial and social justice frameworks and/or will complete such training ideally, prior to joining. Examples: People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, Whites Confronting Racism, White Awake, Training for Change.
Are willing and able to meet at least once a month for committee work or as needed for special projects.
